This recipe yields 4 servings of 250 ml each

Ingredients:

900 ml milk

Choose:

  • Lewis Road Full Cream Milk for richness and skin-supporting fats
  • or Anchor Protein+ Lite Milk for higher protein and a lighter finish
  • 100 ml previously fermented kefir 
  • 1 capsule of 100 billion probiotic powder, go for 15 strains probiotic

Please note both are amazing Probiotic powerhouse for the immunity and metabolic health and with the exact the same probiotic strains and Probiotic billion count which is around 150-200 billion CFU and 17 probiotic strains per serving

  1. Prepare your jar:
    Ensure your glass jar is clean — Put it into the oven at 100 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes

  2. Combine ingredients:

    • Take100 ml of your previous unflavored, plain kefir batch that you bought in the shop
    • Open probiotic capsule and mix it into the kefir starter with the whisk
    • Pour first mixed kefir starter then add 900 ml of fresh milk,  close with the lid and shake properly
  3. Cover & ferment:

    • Cover with the jar lid to avoid other bacteria interaction. 

    • Place in a Dark shelf of your kitchen pantry

    • Let ferment for 36 hours undisturbed or more until made. How to understand if it is ready, shake the bottle , pour a little bit into the glass and you should see the lumps in the. Watch the video, and see photos below this recipe. .

  4. Taste & refrigerate:

    • It should be tangy, slightly thick, and lumpy

    • If happy with the outcome, shake and refrigerate,.

  5. Reuse tip:
    Save 100 ml of this new batch as your starter for the next one. Follow all the steps apart from the one where you add probiotic capsule to it. Your batch is already a fully developed rich probiotic culture, you don’t need to add probiotic to it again.

  6. Drink your kefir on the empty stomach for better health benefits.
  7. Either Enjoy with your overnight oats or anything else you would like it with.
